Are there any safety precautions I should be aware of? Use adult supervision with children, do not use on an infant. Do not use on diabetics, infants, or individuals with poor circulation or insensitive skin; always consult with a physician before use.

What is the purpose of the adjustable straps? Our adjustable straps allow use of our pads while sitting upright or walking around while still properly retaining heat. The straps are removed through a simple side release buckle clasp and can fit small to large waist measurements. The straps are microwaveable.

What are the care and use instructions for the pad? Wash in warm water; do not include with harsh surface items such as towels or jeans. No fabric softener or dryer sheets when laundering (diminishes the water-repellent properties); no bleach or ironing, tumble dry low. For added protection, we offer washable covers; wash covers in cold water, delicate cycle; tumble dry low.

When using the cooling version, how does this compare to ice packs? Our pads provide a nice, cooling sensation when placed in the freezer. For optimum results, we recommend storing the pad overnight in a plastic gallon-size bag. Unlike ice packs that provide intense, cold therapy that may leave a stinging sensation, our pads provides a more subtle cooling sensation that will ease your body and relax your mind—no need for a cover because the cooling effect is subtle yet highly effective.

What type of contents is used in the heating/cooling pad? We use triple-cleaned popcorn which holds impressive hot/cold retention to deeply penetrate sore muscles and joints to provide quick pain relief. Another feature of using corn is how it molds into the body by the simple weight of the pad. In the future, we will be experimenting with different aroma therapy/essential oil blends.

What makes the heating/cooling pad superior over others? With our patented shape, seven separate sections, and "kick stand" helping to support the weight of the pad; transfer of heat is evenly distributed to the entire pelvic region to reduce pain/discomfort within seconds of applying to body. By freezing the pad, the added benefit is alleviating swelling and itching from post-operative surgery due to a partial/full hysterectomy. In addition, the pad can be used on others areas of the body to reduce pain/swelling from joint and muscle pain and migraines.

How does the heating pad work? The patented shape is unique in design and works effectively when heated in the average microwave for approximately 2 minutes, 15-30 seconds. Since microwave temperatures vary depending on make and model, we highly recommend experimenting with the time to find the perfect heat.

Is there a method that should be used when heating the pad in the microwave? Yes, we highly recommend for optimal results and heat distribution to utilize the oscillating carousel feature in the microwave at 50-60% power. This guarantees the pad will be evenly heated and add to the longevity of the pad.

Will overheating the pad in the microwave possibly pop the corn inside? If so, will this damage the pad in any way? There is a possibility that if heating directions are not followed directly, a few kernels may pop due to increased heating time. This will not cause damage to the pad; however, following instructions on the label will ensure proper heating time and longevity.

When I heat the EndoFEMM™ or Classic pad using the recommended time, I notice it is still lukewarm. How can I ensure it will heat longer? We recommend a conservative time of 2 minutes at 50% power as microwave temperatures vary depending on make/model. Try experimenting at 30-second intervals to find the ideal heat you prefer. Utilizing the oscillating carousel feature in the microwave will help to reach the desired heat and acquire even heat distribution of the pad.

What time is recommended when re-heating pad? We recommend starting at 30-45 second intervals, depending on microwave power, until desired heat is achieved. Do not overheat pad.

Why is there moisture from the pad? When the pad first arrives to the user, it is normal to experience a moist heat sensation during the first few uses of microwaving the pad as the corn contents is new. Over repeated use (approximately 4-6 times), the moisture will disappear. It is at that time the user will experience the true benefits of intense heat therapy.
